Fundraiser Friday: September 23, 2022

Fundraiser Friday is back! This Friday's fundraisers have been set up to aid in the search for three different missing people. All 3 were minors at the time of their respective disappearances. The loved ones of these three girls deserve answers. Please consider donating and/or spreading the word!

Elyssa Vasquez: Missing since 2003.

Elyssa Vasquez was only 12-years-old when she vanished in Doraville, Georgia. The young girl was last seen on January 28th, 2003, at the local middle school. Elyssa vanished at some point during the school day. She has never been seen or heard from again.

There are very few details available about Elyssa's disappearance, but she was initially classified as a runaway. However, after years passed, Elyssa was reclassified as an endangered missing person. Nearly two decades have passed, and her disappearance remains unsolved. Elyssa's loved ones have now set up a GoFundMe to help aid in paying a private investigator. Any amount helps, and could help Elyssa's family find get the answers they are seeking.

Sophie Reeder vanished at the age of 15 on May 19th, 2017. She left her family's residence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that evening and never returned home. Sophie's family members have never seen or heard from her again.

It is feared that Sophie fell victim to sex trafficking and/or an online predator. There have been various sightings of her over the years, but unfortunately none of the sightings have been confirmed. Sophie's loved ones are frustrated with the progress of the investigation and they hope to hire a private investigator to help locate her. Please consider donating or spreading the word.

Fundraiser Friday: April 30, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features two cases of teen girls who went missing and were later found murdered. Both murders remain unsolved, and their respective family members are raising money to help find answers in their cases. Please share their stories and consider donating.

Anastasia Hill

Anastasia Hill was only 14 years-old when she vanished in Ellenwood, Georgia on March 6th, 2010. The teen girl lived with at her grandmother's home with her siblings at the time of her disappearance. Before vanishing, Anastasia spent the day with her family. When her grandmother went to wake her up with following morning, Anastasia was gone. It appeared that she had left out of her bedroom window.

Months later, on November 19th, 2010, human remains were found in a wooded area off of Georgia Highway 138 in Stockbridge. It took over a year, but in January 2012, dental records confirmed that the remains belonged to Anastasia Hill. She had been murdered. An autopsy confirmed that Anastasia died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Years have passed, and no arrests have been made in Anastasia's case. According to Anastasia's family members, detectives have questioned "certain individuals of interest about her case, but there hasn't been enough information for a conviction." Her family is now hoping to raise reward money to provide incentive for those with information about Anastasia's case to come forward. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Summer Smith

Summer Smith was only 18 years-old when she was found murdered in Lake Stevens, Washington during January 2015. Before her untimely death, Summer was struggling with drug addiction and was living a somewhat transient lifestyle. She last spoke to her family members on November 19th, 2014. Summer's mother attempted to contact to her via text message a few weeks later, and reportedly received replies to the texts that seemed completely out-of-character for Summer.

Just a few weeks later, Summer's remains were found by a man hired to clean property located south of the lake in Lake Stevens. While clearing the brush, the man stumbled upon a human skull. The Snohomish police were called, and they began searching the surrounding area. After scouring through over 30 acres, investigators found a trash bag with clothing items and paperwork that belonged to Summer. The bag also contained blood-stained bedding, a knife with a broken blade, and screwdrivers. The human skull was positively identified as that of Summer Smith shortly after its discovery. Summer's death was classified as a homicide.

No suspects or persons of interest have been identified in Summer's case. Her loved ones are hoping to hire a private investigator to help find answers about her death. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: April 9th, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two women who vanished under suspicious circumstances. Both women are mothers who are unlikely to leave their children behind voluntarily. The families of both women are raising money to pay for private investigators. Please share their stories and consider donating.

Graciela Garcia

Graciela Garcia has been missing since November 2019. The 49 year-old woman was last seen in Hermiston, Oregon. On the evening of November 8th, 2019, Graciela had dinner plans with her 14 year-old son, who was staying at his father's home. Graciela's son was surprised when his stepfather--Graciela's husband--showed up with food instead. Graciela's husband explained that she had already gone to bed. Graciela was never seen or heard from again.

It's uncharacteristic of Graciela to drop out of sight. She was sharing custody of her teenage son with her ex-husband. Her daughters are now grown, but she regularly kept in touch with them as well. Graciela's daughter reported her missing on November 11th, 2019. So far, no persons of interest or suspects have been named. Graciela's family is raising money for a private investigator, and her daughter is also selling items on Etsy to raise money as well. [fundraiser link] [Etsy link] [more info on this case]

Crystal Fry

Crystal Fry has been missing since late 2020. Before vanishing, the 31 year-old young mother was living in Baltimore, Maryland with her boyfriend/father of her two youngest children. Crystal's family members have not heard from her since November 11th, 2020.

That day, Crystal called her mother, Teresa Silverman, and told her that the previous three days had been the worst of her life. She explained that somebody had broken into her home by kicking in the front door, so she was staying with the father of her oldest child until it could be fixed. Crystal also told Teresa that she was scared for her life. The two then made plans to meet up the following day so they could talk more about the break-in. Crystal never showed up as planned, and her family has not heard from her again.

There have been very few updates on Crystal's case, but her mother has hired a private investigator. The family is raising money to continue to pay for the investigation. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: April 2, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two indigenous women. There is speculation that both women were murder victims, but both of their cases remain unsolved. These women are just two of the many Native women who go missing and/or are murdered. These cases often go cold and receive far less attention in the media. Please share these stories and consider donating.

The Disappearance of Caitlin Potts

Caitlin Potts has been missing since February 22nd, 2016. The young mother was 27 years-old at the time of her disappearance. Caitlin was last seen in Enderby, British Columbia on the day she vanished. She has never been seen or heard from again. Caitlin vanished in the midst of a volatile relationship with a man named Jason Hnatiuk. He has been convicted of assaulting Caitlin during an altercation that occurred during August 2014. Despite this, Jason denies involvement in Caitlin's disappearance and also denies ever being in a serious relationship with her.

Investigators believe that Caitlin was murdered. Still, no arrests have been made in her case, and she remains missing today. Caitlin's loved ones have grown increasingly frustrated with local authorities due to lack of progress in her case. They hope to hire a private investigator to help aide their search. The Disappearance & Death of Kaysera Stops Pretty Places

Kaysera Stops Pretty Places was only 18 years old when she was found deceased in Hardin, Montana on August 29th, 2019. The young girl was a member of the Crow and Northern Cheyenne tribal communities and she lived with her grandmother. Kaysera was last seen by her family members on August 24th, 2019. She was reported missing on August 27th.

Two days later, a passerby spotted human remains in the backyard of a Hardin home. The remains were later identified as Kaysera. Unfortunately, the discovery of her remains has led to more questions than answers. Authorities have described Kaysera's case as suspicious, but medical examiners were unable to determine an exact cause or manner of death. Her autopsy reportedly did not turn up any evidence of injury or disease. To this day, it is unclear how Kaysera ended up in the backyard where she was found.

Kaysera's family members believe she was murdered. They are raising reward money in hopes that someone with information about her case will have an incentive to come forward. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: March 26, 2021

The week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two women who have vanished in Arizona. Please share their stories and consider donating!

Elizabeth Breck

Elizabeth Breck vanished from the Sierra Tucson rehabilitation center in Tucson, Arizona on January 13th, 2019. The 46 year-old checked into the facility on January 10th to complete a 30-day treatment for trauma. After being evaluated by the staff, it was determined that Elizabeth was not a threat to herself or others. As a result, she was admitted to the general living quarters–an area in the facility that is not locked down. Just hours later, Elizabeth vanished. She has never been seen or heard from again.

Elizabeth’s family members hired private investigators to help search for Elizabeth. A five-mile radius around the facility was thoroughly searched, but unfortunately nothing was found. The private investigators also received a few tips about reported sightings, but none of them have panned out. Since then, very few clues have turned up. Elizabeth's family members have since set up a GoFundMe page to allow them to continue to pay their private investigator. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Emily Hieber

Emily Hieber was last seen by her family members on February 3rd, 2013. That day, 19 year-old Emily brought her Miniature Pinscher named Bruiser over to her grandparents house in Yuma, Arizona. Emily and her dog visited with her grandparents for a while that afternoon, and according to Emily’s grandmother, nothing seemed amiss with the young girl. In fact, it appeared that Emily was trying to put her life back together after being hooked on drugs for the past few years. Unfortunately, Emily’s grandparents never heard from her again after she left that afternoon, and she was reported missing months later on August 16th, 2013, after it was revealed that her friends and family members had not seen her since February as well.

Investigators have now classified Emily's case as a cold case. Her loved ones have set up a GoFundMe page to help support her family and pay for ongoing investigative fees. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: March 19, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two missing women. There are many similarities between the two cases: both women seemingly vanished without a trace, leaving behind children that they were dedicated to raising. Additionally, many people suspect that the respective husbands of the women are responsible for their disappearances. Still, no arrests have been made in either case. The families of both women are desperately hoping to receive answers. Please share their stories and consider donating.

Stacy Peterson

Stacy Peterson has been missing since October 28th, 2007. Her husband Drew Peterson claims he last saw Stacy leaving their Bolingbrook, Illinois home between 10 and 11 AM. She never returned home and has never been seen or heard from again.

Suspicions fell upon Drew Peterson pretty quickly after Stacy was reported missing. The couple married in 2003, when Stacy was only 19 years old, while Drew was 49. Stacy was Drew's fourth wife, and he married her just 8 days after his marriage to his third wife, Kathleen Savio, was finalized. Just a few months later, in March 2004, Kathleen’s body was found facedown in a waterless bath tub at her home. Her death was initially ruled an accidental drowning.

After Stacy vanished, and Drew was named a person of interest, investigators decided to take a second look at Kathleen's death. Upon their re-examination, investigators ultimately ruled Kathleen's death as a murder. Drew was arrested and charged with her murder shortly thereafter. He was ultimately convicted in 2012. Meanwhile, Stacy has remained missing and Drew has not faced any charges in her case. Stacy's sister Cassandra has dedicated her money and free time to searching for her. She is hoping to raise money to continue to search while also paying her bills and other expenses. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Suzanne Morphew

Suzanne Morphew has been missing since May 10th, 2020. The mother-of-two disappeared on Mother’s Day, after she left her Maysville, Colorado home to go for a bike ride. Suzanne never returned home, and a neighbor reported her missing later that evening.

Many suspect that Suzanne's husband, Barry Morphew, is involved in her disappearance. He denies involvement. It was originally reported that Barry was in the Denver area on the day Suzanne vanished. It is believed that he left the family’s Maysville home during the early morning hours of May 10th, and then returned later that afternoon after learning of his wife’s disappearance. Barry went to the Denver area to work on a landscaping job. He was hired by the president of the landscaping company, who also happens to be his close friend. However, Barry’s name is reportedly not on any documentation related to this specific job. Additionally, the job was reportedly scheduled for Monday, May 11th–not Sunday, May 10th. In fact, the city did not issue a special permit for the work to be completed on a weekend, which would have been required for this particular job.

While this does not necessarily prove Barry's guilt, Suzanne's family members still believe he knows more about her disappearance than he is disclosing. Suzanne's nephew has created a GoFundMe page to help finance searches, housing accommodations for volunteers/family members, and other expenses related to the investigation. Fundraiser Friday: March 12, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two young people who have gone missing in Colorado. Please share these stories and consider donating to help these families find their missing loved one.

Rashell Hammond

Rashell Hammond has been missing since August 15th, 2019. The 30 year-old woman was living with her mother in Mosca, Colorado at the time of her disappearance. Rashell left her home on foot the day she vanished and never returned home. She left without her cell phone, medication, or any form of identification. Rashell has never been seen or heard from again.  Her sister has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for a private investigator. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Nathaniel Holmes

Nathaniel Holmes has been missing since December 19th, 2017. The 17-year old was last seen at his high school in Westminster, Colorado. Nathaniel had only been attending the high school for five weeks at the time, but according to his father Ben Holmes, he had already gotten into trouble quite a bit. Ben stated that Nathaniel appeared to be "on something" when he returned from school the day before his disappearance. Since Ben had to work, Nathaniel was sent to his mother's house so he could be monitored. His mother dropped him off at school the following morning, but he never attended his classes. Nathaniel instead went to the principal's office and asked to speak with a friend. The principal denied his request to call the friend out of class, and Nathaniel left the building after that. He called his mother and told her that he was going to a friend of his father's house and did not need to be picked up. Nathaniel has never been seen or heard from again.

Nathaniel's father is also hoping to raise money for a private investigator. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: March 5th, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two young women who were murdered in Texas. The families of both young women are frustrated with the way police handled their cases. One family is hoping to raise reward money for information that will lead to the arrest of the killer. The other family has created a petition for the local sheriff's office to make the case active again.

Jeannie Quinn

Jeannie Quinn was only 20 years old when she was brutally murdered in April 2018. Jeannie lived in Levelland, Texas at the time of her death. Her family members reported her on missing on April 15th, 2018. Two days later, Jeannie's body was found hanging in a wooded area in Abilene, Texas. She had white bags tied to her hands and hard wire around her neck. Investigators labeled her death as homicide and staged hanging.

57 year-old Ricky Don Henderson has been named as a suspect in Jeannie's case. Ricky was reportedly Jeannie's boyfriend, and the last person known to have seen her before her disappearance. Both Jeannie's family members and authorities believe it is very likely that Ricky killed Jeannie, but he has still not been charged with anything related to her death. He is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.

Investigators hope to receive more information that could lead to an arrest in Jeannie's case. Her family members are raising reward money. [click here to donate] [more information on the case]

Brittany McGlone

Brittany McGlone was only 19 years-old when she was brutally murdered in Winnsboro, Texas on May 4th, 2007. She was killed at her boyfriend's family's house. Brittany spent the previous evening working an overnight shift at Lowe's Distribution Center. It is believed that she arrived at her boyfriend's house around 7am and went to sleep in his bed shortly thereafter. Brittany's boyfriend and his family members left the house while she was sleeping. When Brittany's boyfriend returned that afternoon, he found a gruesome scene: Brittany had been savagely murdered.

Investigators later determined that Brittany had been sexually assaulted and beaten at some point between 8:30am and 3:30pm. An autopsy ruled that she had died from massive head trauma. The Wood County Sheriff's Department inevitably looked at Brittany's boyfriend and his family members when they began investigating her murder--and all of them were eventually cleared. All had solid alibis that were confirmed through both surveillance and cell phone pings.

In the years that have passed since the murder, Brittany's family members have grown increasingly more frustrated with the investigators from Wood County Sheriff's Department. Various people have stated that the crime scene was mishandled and was possibly contaminated by law enforcement. Brittany's family members have since created a petition in hopes that the case will be re-investigated. [click here to sign the petition] [more information on this case]

The families of both women are desperately searching for answers, and they both hope to raise money for private investigators. Please share their stories and consider donating.

Mary Kimberly Watkins was found brutally murdered inside her in Chicago, Illinois on March 9th, 2020. The 37 year-old woman was discovered by her father, who had gone to her residence in the Chatham neighborhood to check on her. Mary kept in touch with her father frequently, and he began to worry when he had not heard from her for two days. Mary's father entered her home shortly before 7pm and found her dead inside her bedroom. She had been brutally stabbed and strangled.

Mary's family members are raising money for both a private investigator and for reward money in Mary's case. [click here to donate] [more info on this case]

Tawana McGowan

Tawana McGowan was shot to death in front of her Redford, Michigan home on January 11th, 2010. The 30 year-old woman had just returned to her residence after working an overnight shift. Before she could even enter the home, she was approached by an unknown assailant who shot her twice in the head. Her 10 year-old son found her body lying face down in the snow shortly thereafter. The killer(s) had already fled the scene in a vehicle.

Years have passed without any answers in Tawana's case. Her family members believe that police have not thoroughly investigated. In fact, her son has started both a petition for Tawana's case to be re-investigated. He also has started a fundraiser for investigative fees. Fundraiser Friday: February 19, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two missing women. Both young women vanished under suspicious circumstances, and their devastated family members are left without answers. Please consider donating to these families and sharing their stories!

LaQuanta Riley

LaQuanta Riley vanished at the age of 18 on December 7th, 2003. She was last seen by her family members at their home Montgomery, Alabama.  LaQuanta’s last encounter with her family was very brief; she arrived at the family’s home around 11:30pm to get a jacket, then left immediately after that. During the short amount of time she was inside the house, LaQuanta’s brother noticed that she had been driven there by a person in a dark green car that he did not recognize. When he asked her who the driver of the car was, LaQuanta simply replied that the driver was her friend. After retrieving her jacket, LaQuanta returned to the dark green car and was driven away. She never returned home after that.

LaQuanta's family members have spent nearly two decades searching for her. Over the years, the investigative fees plus everyday life bills began to add up and place financial strain upon the family. They have since begun the Riley Relief Fund, which you can donate to via Facebook. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Paige Coffey

Paige Coffey has been missing since May 7th, 2019. The 27 year-old was reportedly last seen at the Steelyard Commons shopping center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has never been seen or heard from again.  There are not many details available about the day of Paige's disappearance, but her case is considered suspicious. It is unlike Paige to not contact her family, and her loved ones have been worried for her safety since the day she vanished. Paige's mother is hoping to hire a private investigator to help find answers about what happened to her daughter. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]

Fundraiser Friday: Petition Edition (Feb. 12, 2021)

In continuance with the honoring of Black History Month, this week's Fundraiser Friday includes 3 cases of missing young black girls. This particular week will include petitions instead of fundraisers. Please share these stories and please consider signing! It will cost nothing and it will help the families of these young girls move forward with their investigations.

Relisha Rudd

Relisha Rudd was only 8 years-old when she vanished in Washington, DC during March 2014. Prior to her disappearance, Relisha and her mother lived at a homeless shelter in the city. While living there, Relisha and her mother became acquainted with a janitor named Khalil Tatum. Khalil gained their trust, and eventually Relisha's mother trusted him enough to allow Relisha to stay overnight with him at his grandmother's house where he lived.

Relisha was last seen in the company of Khalil. She had stopped attending school at this point, and was eventually reported missing by the school staff on March 19th, 2014. A search began for both Relisha and Khalil. Throughout the search, authorities discovered Khalil's wife--Andrea Tatum--dead from a gunshot wound to the head. To this day, Khalil is the only suspect in her murder. Then, on March 31st, 2014, authorities discovered Khalil's body as well. He had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Relisha remains missing today. Although the person responsible for her disappearance has died, it is possible that someone else out there knows what might have happened to her. Her family has started a petition for the mayor of DC to raise the reward money in Relisha's case. They are hoping this will motivate someone who might have information about her whereabouts to come forward. [sign the petition] [more information about this case]

Kierra Coles

Kierra Coles was three months pregnant when she vanished on October 3rd, 2018. The 27 year-old woman was last seen near 82nd Street and Vernon Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Kierra was reported missing by her mother after days passed without any contact from her. Police conducted a welfare check at her apartment, but found no sign of her. Kierra’s car was still parked outside of the apartment, and her cell phone, wallet, and packed lunch were found inside the vehicle. Police immediately began to believe that foul play was responsible for Kierra's disappearance, and they even identified a few persons of interest. However, the case has now seemingly gone stagnant.

Kierra's family members believe that police have not adequately investigated her disappearance. They have began a petition for the Chicago Police Department to conduct a more thorough investigation. [sign the petition] [more information about this case]

Jamekia Sabb

Jamekia Sabb vanished at the age of 17 on November 22nd, 2013. It is believed that Jamekia left her family's Charlotte, North Carolina home on her own accord. She was labeled as a runaway by investigators, and all search efforts for the young girl were minimal at best. Additionally, there has been very little information about Jamekia's case in the media. Jamekia's loved ones initially had hope that she would return home safely. However, as the months turned into years without any sign of her, Jamekia's loved ones began to believe that she might have come to harm.

Jamekia's loved ones have began a petition for Jamekia's case to be more thoroughly investigated. [sign the petition] [more info on this case]

On December 21st, it was announced that a man named Isaac Moye was arrested and charged with Unique's murder. Very few details have been released about how the arrest came about, but police did reveal that they have questioned Isaac numerous times over the years. Additionally, Isaac was reportedly wearing a GPS monitor in October 2010, which confirmed that he was at Unique's house the evening that she disappeared.

Despite the murder charges, Unique's body has still not been found. Her family members are still searching for her, and they want to give her a proper burial. Her family is raising money to help aid their search. [fundraiser link] [more information about this case]

Fundraiser Friday Jan. 29, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two young men who are missing under suspicious circumstances. Please share the stores and consider donating.

Logan Schiendelman

Logan Schiendelman vanished at the age of 19 on May 19th, 2016. He lived at his grandmother's home in Tumwater, Washington at the time of his disappearance. Logan's grandmother last saw him in the morning, as both of them prepared to go to work at their respective jobs. After leaving the house, Logan never returned home.

Investigators later learned that there had been various sightings of both Logan and his car along Interstate 5 on May 20th, 2016—a day after he was last seen by his family. A woman reported seeing Logan standing with two caucasian men by his car, which was parked on the shoulder of the southbound Interstate near exit 95. When she later drove home, she saw that the car was still parked there with the hood up. Then, around 2pm that same day, three people called 911 to report a car drifting across the lanes of Interstate 5 near milepost 92. It did not appear that anybody was driving the car. A truck driver reported seeing a caucasian man with red/brown hair jump out of the passenger side of the car shortly before it crashed. After exiting the vehicle, the man ran into the woods on the side of the Interstate. The description of this man does not match Logan’s description, yet it was later confirmed that the car in question was his. Logan’s cell phone, wallet, personal identification, cash, and other personal items were found inside the vehicle. An extensive search in the wooded area near the car’s location yielded no signs of him.

Logan remains missing today. His family is hoping to raise reward money in his case. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Terrence Woods Jr.

Terrence Woods Jr. vanished at the age of 26 on October 5th, 2018. Terrence is originally from Maryland, however at the time of his disappearance he was in Orogrande, Idaho. Terrence worked as a production assistant for British docu-series Gold Rush: White Water. They were filming this particular season around Pinman Mine.

Terrence's co-workers said that he was acting 'strangely' before his disappearance. As the film crew was wrapping up for the day, Terrence reportedly took off running towards a nearby cliff. When his co-workers went over to the cliff to see if he had fallen, they noticed he was already 15 feet down the cliff, running towards the woods. Some of the crew members waited by a nearby main road to see if Terrence would emerge from the woods. He never did, and he was reported missing by 5:30pm that evening.

A widespread search of the surrounding areas did not turn up any signs of Terrence. He has never been seen or heard from again. The case remains unsolved and his family is hoping to raise money to for a private investigator. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Fundraiser Friday Jan. 22, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two missing young women. Both women are suspected to be victims of sex trafficking. The families of both young women hope to raise money for private investigators and increased reward money in their cases. Please share their stories and consider donating!

Alexis Scott

Alexis Scott vanished at the age of 20 on September 22nd, 2017. The young mother lived in Peoria, Illinois at the time of her disappearance, and she was last seen at a house party on Richmond Avenue. Unbeknownst to Alexis, the man who owned the house on Richmond Ave was affiliated with sex traffickers that Alexis had escaped from already. Just weeks earlier, Alexis had reportedly been kidnapped in Las Vegas and transported to a sex trafficking ring in California. She was reportedly able to escape and eventually made her way back to Peoria. Then, Alexis later attended the party on Richmond Ave--and there is no evidence that she ever left the house. She has never been seen or heard from again. [link to fundraiser] [full case write-up]

Melissa Garcia

Melissa Garcia vanished at the age of 22 on April 23rd, 2019. She was reportedly last seen in Columbus, Ohio. Melissa's case has gotten very little attention in the media, however the GoFundMe page states that she was kidnapped and possibly forced into trafficking. Fundraiser Friday: Jan. 15, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features two cases of missing young women. Both women vanished from small towns under suspicious circumstances. Please share these women's stories and consider donating!

Cynthia Orsborn

Cynthia Orsborn vanished at the age of 23 on June 14th, 2017. The young mother of two was last seen at a house in Calvin, Louisiana that she had rented with her older boyfriend, Jack “JD” Noble. Cynthia and JD had a tumultuous relationship. JD has a criminal history of violence against both Cynthia and previous girlfriends as well. In fact, when JD and Cynthia moved in together, Cynthia actually had a restraining order out against him. JD told Cynthia’s family members that on the day she went missing, Cynthia got into a car with an unidentified driver and simply rode off. She has never been seen or heard from again.

Both authorities and Cynthia’s family members have doubted JD’s story from the beginning. Still, JD has never been charged with anything related to Cynthia’s disappearance—but he remains the only person of interest to this day. Cynthia's family members are hoping to raise money to hire a private investigator to help locate Cynthia and bring her case to justice. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Keeslyn Roberts

Keeslyn Roberts has been missing since January 18th, 2020. The 20 year-old woman was last seen at a Flying J truck stop in Resaca, Georgia. When Keeslyn arrived at the Flying J that day, she told people at the truck stop that she was there to see someone. Employees at the Flying J ended up calling 911 after Keeslyn reportedly entered an employee-only kitchen area and got into an altercation. She fled the scene before the police arrived, however her cash, debit cards, identification, and phone charger were left behind. At this time it is unclear how Keeslyn left the truck stop, as her vehicle was left behind as well.

A probation violation warrant was issued for Keeslyn the day before she vanished. It is possible that she fled from the Flying J on the day of her disappearance to avoid being apprehended by police, but this has not been verified. Police have reportedly interviewed those closest to Keeslyn, including her boyfriend and the person she was planning to see at the Flying J that day—but so far nobody has been identified as a suspect or person of interest. Keeslyn's father is hoping to raise money to increase the reward in Keeslyn's case. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Fundraiser Friday 1/08/21

This week I'll be featuring two cases for Fundraiser Friday.  Please share these stories and consider donating!

Christian Muse

Christian Muse disappeared at the age of 19 on July 15th, 2012. He was last seen in the Glass Manor area of Oxon Hill, Maryland. Christian never returned home, and he has never been seen or heard from again. Nine months later, Christian's father Michael Muse was contacted by a DC Police detective who was investigating a separate case that might be linked to Christian. In a time before Christian vanished, he was reportedly exploited by a group of adults who ran a child trafficking ring. There's a possibility that this is linked to his disappearance. Christian's father has created a GoFundMe page in hopes to raise the reward money in the case. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Michael McClain

Michael McClain vanished during the early-morning hours of April 21st, 2019. The 29 year-old lived in Manchester, New Hampshire at the time of his disappearance, but he was last seen at a nightclub in nearby Nashua. Michael was at the club with friends when a fight broke out between two women. He reportedly knew one of the women, and he attempted to separate the two women when the fight escalated outside of the building. Police arrived on the scene shortly thereafter, which led the crowd of people to disperse in different directions. At that point, Michael's friends became separated from him. He never returned to his friend's house to retrieve his car and has never been seen or heard from again.
Michael's family is raising money for a private investigator. [fundraiser link] [full case write-up]

Fundraising Friday

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone celebrating today has a happy and healthy holiday.

This is the first post of a new installment I am adding to my blog. Each Friday, I will be posting 3-5 missing persons/murder cases that have currently active GoFundMe pages or other online fundraisers. Please consider supporting the families of missing persons by donating and/or sharing these stories! Also feel free to request cases to be added.

The holidays can be a very tough time for the families of missing persons. Though these families may still gather to celebrate, they are constantly reminded that there is a loved one missing from the celebration--and that loved one's whereabouts are unknown. A special time of year often becomes devastating for these families--especially after years pass without any answers. We can support these families by donating to their causes.

Links to the fundraisers and full case write-ups are provided as well.
