Fundraiser Friday: Feb. 5th, 2021

This week's Fundraiser Friday features cases of two young women who have both been missing for over 10 years. Their families have never given up their searches for them them. Please share their stories and consider donating.

Unique Harris

Unique Harris has been missing since October 9th, 2010. The 24 year-old woman was last seen at her apartment in southeast Washington, DC. The night before she vanished, Unique spent time with her 2 young sons and her cousin's daughter. The 3 children woke up the next morning to find that Unique was gone. She has never been seen or heard from again.

Over a decade passed without any news in Unique's case. Finally, in December 2020, that all changed. On December 21st, it was announced that a man named Isaac Moye was arrested and charged with Unique's murder. Very few details have been released about how the arrest came about, but police did reveal that they have questioned Isaac numerous times over the years. Additionally, Isaac was reportedly wearing a GPS monitor in October 2010, which confirmed that he was at Unique's house the evening that she disappeared.

Despite the murder charges, Unique's body has still not been found. Her family members are still searching for her, and they want to give her a proper burial. Her family is raising money to help aid their search. [fundraiser link] [more information about this case]

Latoya Grissom

LaToya Grissom has been missing since September 5th, 2007. The 25 year-old woman lived with her grandmother and her two children in Texarkana, Texas at the time. On the day of her disappearance, LaToya left the apartment complex where she lived around 3:30pm. She was seen getting into a dark-colored sedan shortly thereafter. LaToya did not say where she was going before she left, but she told her grandmother she would be back soon. Unfortunately, LaToya never returned and has never been seen or heard from again.

Years have come and gone without any sign of LaToya. Her family members are still desperately searching for answers in the case. They are currently raising money to place billboards around town to spread awareness about LaToya. [fundraiser link] [more info on this case]
