The Murders of Kevin and Cedric Kind

The morning of July 13th, 2019 began as a normal day for the members of the Kind family. Kevin Kind, a 42-year-old resident of Fitzgerald, Georgia went to his job at a local car wash. By 8:30 AM, what was supposed to be a normal work shift quickly turned into a tragic event when Kevin was found shot to death inside the car wash. 

Approximately thirty minutes later, 40-year-old Cedric Kind was also found shot to death inside his Fitzgerald residence. Said residence is located just streets away from the car wash where his brother Kevin had been found shot less than an hour earlier. It was immediately believed that the killings were connected and not just a tragic coincidence. 

Loved ones of the Kind brothers stated they do not know who would want either of them dead. Kevin has been described as a kind man who loved his mother dearly. He worked at Johnson’s Car Wash and was called a “car wash legend” by his boss. Cedric, who was paralyzed from the waist down, has been described as a quiet but loving young man. Friends and family of both men have been left without answers and are still hoping to find justice.

Authorities have revealed very little about the status of the investigation. In 2023, it was reported that investigators believe the killings were gang related. However, no further information about that has been disclosed. No arrests have ever been made in the case.

The Murder of Tiona Smith

 

On the morning of November 6th, 2005, children in a Baltimore, Maryland neighborhood called Woodlawn were playing outside when they stumbled upon something unexpected behind a home: the body of a woman. Police were called, and it was soon determined that the deceased woman was a 23-year-old Baltimore resident named Tiona Smith.

It was almost immediately clear that Tiona’s death was a murder. She had been brutally beaten and stabbed. An autopsy officially ruled that Tiona was killed by multiple sharp force injuries. Over two decades have passed since this brutal killing, and both investigators and Tiona’s loved ones are still left with two unanswered questions: who killed Tiona? And why?

Throughout the investigation, detectives have been able to piece together a timeline of the events leading up to Tiona’s murder. On November 5th, 2005, Tiona went to her job at a McDonald’s on Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville. Tiona’s shift ended at 10:45 PM, after which she and a friend boarded an MTA bus, presumably to make their way home. 

Reports state that Tiona’s friend got off the bus a few stops before Tiona. Tiona then got off the bus at the Eutaw and Fayette street drop-off. A CCTV camera captured Tiona at that bus stop. The same cameras also captured a white car driving by the stop. Witnesses later told police that they saw Tiona getting into that vehicle.

A few hours later, around 1:15 AM, residents in the Woodlawn neighborhood heard sounds of a woman screaming. According to detectives, the residents “believe that what she was yelling was 'no' or 'stop' several times, and then the voice stopped calling out.” Hours later, at 11:00 AM, the children playing in that neighborhood came across Tiona’s body. She was still dressed in her McDonald’s uniform. 

Tiona’s family members have said that they do not know why Tiona was in the neighborhood where her body was found, as she had no known connections to that area. The driver of the white vehicle that Tiona was seen getting into is also unknown as well. No persons of interest or suspects have ever been publicly named in Tiona’s case.

Tiona’s mother has still not given up on finding justice for Tiona. In 2023, her mother told reporters, “I do not want revenge. I want justice for my daughter because she deserves it. Whoever took her life, they didn't give her that life. They had no right to take her life.”

The Murder of India Kinamore

 

India Kinamore was murdered inside her Colerain Township, Ohio home during the early morning hours of March 4th, 2023. Police responded to calls about a shooting shortly after 4:30 AM at India’s apartment on Hidden Meadows Drive. Once inside, they found the 26-year-old woman in her bed, deceased from gunshot wounds.

India was nine months pregnant at the time; March 4th was actually her due date, and she was scheduled to be induced. Her unborn child also did not survive. This day was supposed to be a joyous occasion for India and her family - a day they would hopefully celebrate for years to come. Now, it’s a day that marks tragedy for India’s loved ones.

Two years passed without any arrests for the murder of India and her unborn child. Then, in August 2025, Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced that three men had been arrested and charged in connection to the case. Amongst those three men was 30-year-old Kayvon Warren - India’s boyfriend and father of her unborn child.

According to the prosecution, Warren did not want India to have his child. Not only was he facing financial hardships, but he was also involved with another woman behind India’s back. At some point, Warren reportedly urged India to get an abortion, but it was too late in her pregnancy for her to do so. The prosecution believes that Warren subsequently enlisted his cousin, Robert Ervin, and Ervin’s half-brother, Lamar Morris Suggs, to help take care of his problem by killing India on the day she was due to give birth.

It’s believed that Ervin, 20, and Suggs, 22, entered the residence that India and Warren shared shortly before 4:30 AM. Once inside, one of them shot India multiple times, while all three men participated in staging the scene to make it look like a robbery. This ruse eventually became unraveled, resulting in the August 2025 arrests of all three men.

Shortly after their arrests, it was revealed that Warren had requested bereavement leave from his job prior to India’s death. The prosecution stated that this detail “underscores the premeditated nature of the crime.” All three men have been charged with first degree murder.

The cases against Warren, Ervin, and Suggs are all currently pending. All three men have pleaded not guilty.

The Murders of Maria Sanchez and Destiny Banuelos

Maria Sanchez (36) and Destiny Banuelos (16) were found deceased inside a Pine Hills, Florida home on February 15th, 2016. The mother and daughter were both shot to death. Their deaths were quickly ruled a homicide - and their case still unfortunately remains unsolved today.

Maria and Destiny are originally from Oregon. She had her first two children - a son and then Destiny - before marrying her husband Jerry Ledbetter Jr. and having three more children with him. The family moved from Oregon to Florida, but at some point, Ledbetter and their three children returned to Oregon. Destiny reportedly went back to Oregon as well but returned to Florida prior to the murders. 

According to WFTV 9, Maria and Destiny lived at the Coalition for the Homeless in Orlando before eventually moving into a Pine Hills residence owned by a man named Glenn Sylvester. It was in that residence where Maria and Destiny were brutally shot to death. Several questions remain about what exactly happened to them. Namely, who killed them? And why?

Reports state that Sylvester left his home on the morning of the murders, and when he returned that afternoon, he found both Maria and Destiny deceased. Sylvester said he then had neighbors call 911. Police arrived shortly thereafter and began investigating the scene.

There was reportedly no sign of forced entry at the residence, nor was anything missing from the home. Some neighbors were interviewed by reporters shortly after the crime; none mentioned seeing or hearing anything suspicious on the day of the murders. One neighbor stated that Maria and Sylvester were dating. Sylvester has never been named a suspect or person of interest in the case.

In the early stages of the investigation, police stated that they did not have any suspects, but nobody had been ruled out. Now that years have passed, it's unclear if that statement is still true. There has been very little reporting on the case over the years, so the status of the investigation is unknown.

The Murder of Nicole Ganguzza

 

Nicole Ganguzza had many things to look forward to during June 2008. The 26-year-old woman was a graduate student at University of Central Florida and was close to finishing her master's degree in marriage and family therapy. Additionally, Nicole had recently gotten married and was looking forward to starting a family with her new husband. Unfortunately, none of those exciting things ever got to happen, as Nicole's life was tragically taken on June 10th, 2008. 

The day of Nicole's murder began as a typical one. Nicole attended class at the Orlando university, finishing around 5:30 PM. Shortly thereafter, she called her new husband, Brendan Ganguzza, to tell him that she was going jogging at the nearby Jay Blanchard Park. 

Brendan began to worry around 7:00 PM, after he could no longer reach Nicole via phone. He then went to the park himself to search for his wife. Brendan searched unsuccessfully for about 2 hours before calling the police to report Nicole's disappearance.

Authorities searched for Nicole until 1:00 AM without any success. Around 60 people returned the following day to continue the search, during which Nicole's body was discovered around 5:15 PM. It was clear that she had been attacked and dragged off the trail by her assailant. Authorities later confirmed that Nicole died by strangulation. 

Reports note that Blanchard Park was not Nicole's usual jogging spot. However, it is a popular jogging spot amongst Orlando locals. A 2008 report on Nicole's murder states that authorities believe Nicole's killer was a "stranger who had lain in wait on the jogging trail for the appropriate situation to occur." It was noted that two other women had been attacked on the same trail in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Both women escaped their attacker.

Shortly after Nicole's murder, a man named Clemente F. Garcia was arrested in connection to the 2007 attack. The arrest came after the then-20-year-old Garcia's DNA matched DNA found on the victim from 2007. At the time of Garcia's arrest, authorities stated that they hoped to question him in Nicole's case.

In March 2009, it was reported that police executed a search warrant "on the mobile home of a man who is considered a person of interest in the case." However, over 15 years have passed since that reporting, and no arrests have ever been made in Nicole's case. No suspects have ever been publicly identified.

The Disappearance and Murder of Victoria Ochoa

 

Victoria Ochoa vanished at the age of 27 during August 2005. The mother-of-four lived in Clarksville, Tennessee at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen alive at a BP gas station on Providence Blvd. Victoria never returned home and was subsequently reported missing on August 15th, after she missed the birthday of one of her sons. 

Over six months passed without any sign of Victoria. Then, on February 21st, 2006, human remains were found under a mattress inside an abandoned home on D Street. Those skeletal remains were later identified as that of Victoria Ochoa. Her death was labeled a homicide.

The abandoned home where Victoria's remains were found is located less than half a mile away from the BP station where she was last seen alive. Years have passed since her tragic death, and detectives are still trying to piece together the circumstances under which Victoria left the gas station, and the events that followed. No suspects or persons of interest have ever been publicly identified.

Victoria's case grew cold fairly early into the investigation. In 2016 - over a decade after her death - it was announced that a team of cold case detectives was reopening the case. As of today, the case remains opened, and a monetary reward is available in exchange for information that could help solve Victoria's murder.

The Murder of Brandin Princole

Brandin Princole was only 17 years-old when his life was tragically cut short on October 12th, 2012. The teen lived in Omaha, Nebraska at the time of his death. He was killed in broad daylight while walking down the street.

Brandin was traveling on foot along 46th and Larimore Avenue when a passing vehicle pulled up near him. The occupant(s) of said vehicle began firing several shots in Brandin's direction. He was struck by gunfire before the car drove away from the scene. 

Omaha Police were called, and first responders arrived around 2:40 PM. Once there, they found a teenage boy, later identified as Brandin, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly placed into an ambulance and sent towards University of Nebraska Medical Center. Medics attempted CPR while transporting Brandin to the hospital, but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

Brandin's death has inevitably left a void for his loved ones. Those closest to Brandin remember him as a caring and funny person. Despite this, he experienced some struggles before his death as well. Reports state that, approximately a month before the shooting, Brandin was expelled from his local high school after bringing a handgun on school property. He was also arrested at the time of the incident and charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds.

Brandin was released on bail after his arrest. He was also transferred to an alternative school in Omaha. Although it had only been a few weeks since the incident, it appeared that Brandin had stayed out of trouble since his expulsion.

Brandin was killed on a Friday. By all accounts, it began as a typical day. Brandin was walking to a friend's house that afternoon but was tragically shot before he could make it there. It's unknown if he was targeted or if his death was completely random.

The Murder of Trenesa Roberts

 

Trenesa Roberts was gunned down in front of her Lehigh Acres, Florida home on December 10th, 2018. Before her untimely death, the 38-year-old woman worked as a bus attendant for the Lee County Public School District. Trenesa began her day around 4:00 AM each morning to help local kids get to school. 

The morning of Trenesa's death was supposed to be no different. As usual, she woke up during the early morning hours, got ready for work, and exited her home. Before she was able to get in her car and leave, an unknown assailant approached and shot Trenesa. She was then left for dead in her yard.

Police were called to the scene on Quentin Avenue around 6:30 AM. Once there, they found Trenesa, wearing her work uniform, on the ground in front of her residence. It was clear that she had been shot. She was pronounced deceased by medics shortly after their arrival.

While investigating the shooting, detectives learned that neighbors heard gunshots between 4:00 and 4:30 AM morning. Despite this, police were not called to the scene until 6:30 AM; likely after a witness/neighbor spotted her body. It was also noted that nothing appeared to have been stolen from Trenesa - both her car and her purse were left on the scene. As such, it is not believed that robbery was a motive.

Trenesa's family members do not believe her murder was random. They believe she was targeted. However, to this day, it unknown who would have wanted Trenesa dead - or why. In a 2024 report on her case, her family shared that Trenesa "didn't do drugs, had no problem with her exes or the father of her children, and that they knew of had no enemies."

The Murder of Trayvel Aites

 

Trayvel Aites was found murdered outside his family's house on March 14th, 2014. The 19-year-old had been living with his father and stepmother at their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the time of his death. It was Trayvel's father who found his body in their backyard that tragic afternoon. He had been shot twice in the back. 

Reports state that Trayvel had been missing for about a week prior to being found shot to death. His family held out hope that he'd return safely, but those hopes were crushed on the afternoon of March 14th. Trayvel's father returned home from work that day and felt compelled to check his backyard. It was then that he discovered his son's lifeless body just below the home's master bedroom window. 

Various rumors indicate that Trayvel was seen and/or heard talking to someone on the corner near his home on the day of his murder. Two or three minutes later, that person began shooting, and Trayvel began to run. Trayvel was struck twice in the back but was still able to make it back to his family's backyard. Once there, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

In June 2015, it was reported that investigators believe that Trayvel knew the shooter, and that others in the neighborhood witnessed the shooter as well. A public appeal was made for anyone with information to come forward. Still, over a decade has passed since Trayvel's murder, and the case remains unsolved.

Trayvel's family lived in their Baton Rouge residence for 15 years before his murder; Trayvel basically grew up in the home. The family's once-happy memories of the home have been tarnished by Trayvel's killing, and they have since relocated. However, justice for Trayvel is still being sought.

The Murder of Nishan Huff

Nishan Huff was only 23 years old when she was murdered inside her Greenville County, South Carolina residence on June 7th, 2006. 

At the time of her death, the young woman lived with her boyfriend in the Boulder Creek Apartments on Furman Hall Road. Reports state that Nishan's boyfriend left their home between 3:30-4:00 PM on the day of the murder. When he later returned, he found Nishan's body. She had been shot to death.

Early into the investigation, it was reported that several leads were being followed. After that, though, the case seemingly went cold. Years passed without any updates, until finally, in June 2022, a break in the case was announced. Frank Rozier (53) and Brittany Nicole Goldsmith (38) had both been arrested and charged in connection to Nishan's murder. 

At the time of their arrests, it was announced that Rozier faced charges for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Goldsmith faced charges for accessory after the fact. Investigators stated that they "re-interviewed existing witnesses and newly developed witnesses, which resulted in new information leading to the probable cause needed to charge Rozier and Goldsmith with murder."

While it's believed that Nishan and Rozier knew each other, a motive for the killing has not been disclosed. Detectives stated the motive was still being investigated at the time the charges were filed. However, months later, in March 2023, it was announced that the charges against Rozier and Goldsmith were dropped. It was noted that there was not enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. The case was then handed back to law enforcement; there is a chance that Rozier and Goldsmith could be charged again in the future if more evidence is discovered. 

Since then, no further updates or information has been provided about Nishan's case. As of today, it is considered unsolved - and there is still a monetary reward available for any information that could lead to the prosecution of Nishan's killer(s). The Murder of Kellie Owens

 

Kellie Owens was murdered inside her Charlotte, North Carolina residence on December 27th, 2007. The 30-year-old woman was shot to death in her apartment's bathroom. Kellie's boyfriend reportedly found her suffering from a gunshot wound and called 9-1-1. Medics announced her dead on the scene. 

Kellie's daughter, who was only 2 years old at the time, was found unharmed in her crib in a separate bedroom. Detectives believe the toddler was placed there by someone other than Kellie, as it was uncommon for the child to be left in the crib. It was also noted that there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment, which suggests that the killer might have been someone known to Kellie.

The death of Kellie was a devastating loss for not only her family, but also the community. Kellie worked with at-risk youth and was loved by the children she interacted with. She was also a loving mother, but she unfortunately never got to see her daughter grow up.

Several years have passed, and the murder remains unsolved. In 2024, a detective working the case told reporters that "the physical evidence in this case does not help us get any closer to making an arrest." Though it appears several interviews have been conducted, and several people have been investigated, police have not been able to gather needed evidence to move forward in the case.

The Murder of Jenna Franks

On February 24th, 2021, street division workers in Jacksonville, North Carolina were clearing debris in a wooded area near Ellis Boulevard and White Street when they found something unexpected: a human body. Police responded to the scene, and it was quickly determined that a murder had taken place. The victim was subsequently identified as 34-year-old Jenna Franks.

Shortly after news broke about her murder, it was announced that the case was being investigated as a possible hate crime. Jenna was a transgender woman and had active involvement with the Onslow County LGBTQ+ Community Center. Her death has been a devastating loss for both Jenna's loved ones and members of the community. 

Authorities initially did not reveal many details about Jenna's death; only that she had been murdered, and that the FBI was assisting with the investigation. Months later, in June 2021, the results of Jenna's autopsy were revealed. The report states that she was "stabbed multiple times in the neck and lower half of her body." 

The FBI has also revealed that they believe Jenna "willingly met up with whoever is responsible for her death, not knowing her life would end." Investigators also believe it is likely that the killer is familiar with the area where Jenna's body was found. On the three-year anniversary of Jenna's murder, a detective told reporters that it's possible that the killer "may continue to live or work in the community."

Investigators ask that anyone who knew Jenna or might have information about her murder to come forward. A monetary reward is available in exchange for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Jenna's killer(s). The Murder of Quesola Mimms

Quesola Mimms was excited to begin a new chapter in her life during September 2016. The 20-year-old woman was due to start a job at a factory in Chicago, Illinois, and she was looking forward to going to work. However, Quesola reportedly never showed up for her first shift. 

Quesola, known as Keke by those close to her, left the Chicago residence that she shared with her mother on September 21st, 2016. She was never seen alive again. Two days later, a Chicago Park District worker found a plastic bag containing what appeared to be a human head in a lagoon at McKinley Park. Upon hearing about the discovery of the remains, Quesola's family members feared that the remains belonged to her.

In November 2016, the Cook County Medical Examiner's confirmed these fears: the remains were that of Quesola Mimms. About a month later, her death was ruled a homicide. However, a motive for her death remains unknown. According to reports, Quesola was a kind young woman and a mother to a young daughter, who was just 18 months old at the time of Quesola's death. It does not appear that Quesola had any known enemies. 

Shortly after the severed head was found at the lagoon in McKinley Park, investigators drained the lagoon in search of the rest of Quesola's remains. They weren't found during the search and have not been found to this day. 

Years have passed, and Quesola's murder remains unsolved. No suspects or persons of interest have ever been publicly announced. Quesola's murder is considered a cold case.

The Murder of Meagan Love

Meagan Love was found murdered in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 29th, 2011. The young mother was killed inside her residence on North Troost Avenue. She was only 25 years-old at the time of her death. 

Meagan's body was found by a neighbor who had reportedly gone to her residence to check on her. Said neighbor called police around 10:30 AM after discovering that Meagan was deceased. Police quickly determined that Meagan had been the victim of a violent attack. An autopsy confirmed that she had been shot to death.

Investigators believe that Meagan "was ambushed either as she was entering her home or as she answered or opened her front door." According to the Tulsa Police Homicide Unit, after Meagan was ambushed, "a struggled ensued and Meagan was fatally shot." 

Police had a person of interest in the case very early into the investigation. The man turned himself in for questioning and was eventually cleared of suspicion. Since then, no other suspects or persons of interest have been identified in Meagan's murder. 

Over a decade has passed, and Meagan's murder still remains unsolved. Reports about her case have been minimal, and there is very little information available about the investigation. Meagan's murder is considered a cold case.

The Murder of Angela Nelson-Carroll

Angela Nelson-Carroll was found brutally murdered in Louisville, Kentucky on May 31st, 2004. 

That morning, road crews were picking up garbage off of Gene Snyder Freeway when they spotted upon something unexpected: the body of a young girl. Police were called, and the area was subsequently closed off as a crime scene. A short time later, the body was identified as that of Angela Nelson-Carroll. She was only 17 years old.

Angela's death was labeled a homicide. She suffered head injuries due to blunt force trauma and she also had been strangled. It is believed that Angela was attacked before her body was discarded on the freeway. One of the road crew workers who spotted Angela's body said that it looked like her body had been purposely pushed/rolled down an embankment. 

No suspects have ever been publicly identified in Angela's case. Reports from 2004 state that Angela was married to a man named Robert Carroll. Robert, then 25, was incarcerated at the time of Angela's murder and was quickly ruled out as a suspect. A report on Angela's case from 2014 also references a boyfriend. Specifically, the report states, "at the time of her murder, Angela's boyfriend was questioned but was never named a suspect." 

It was also reported in 2014 that investigators initially had "several persons of interest but each one has been cleared." The same report said that DNA from the crime scene has been entered into the database, but so far, there has not been a match. Since then, it appears that there have not been any updates in Angela's case.

The Murder of Lisa Stover

Lisa Stover was murdered inside her apartment in the Rochester Borough of Beaver County, Pennsylvania on October 27th, 2016. 

Most of that day was an entirely typical day for the 30-year-old woman. She attended college courses in the late afternoon/early evening. Meanwhile, her two sons were with their father at a friend's residence located near Lisa's apartment building. 

Lisa arrived home from her classes around 6:00 PM. Shortly thereafter, she sent a text to her ex-boyfriend Mark Yaros, saying she was ready for him to bring her sons to her place. When Yaros and the children arrived approximately 15 minutes later, Lisa was found in her bed, covered in blood. She was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries a short time later. 

An autopsy determined that Lisa had been shot and brutally bludgeoned to death. To this day, a motive for her killing remains unknown. Lisa was reportedly not sexually assaulted during this attack. There were no signs of forced entry at her apartment, nor were any items of value missing/stolen from the residence. 

Lisa's apartment building was secure, so visitors to the building had to be let inside. Additionally, the door to Lisa's unit itself was locked when Yaros and her sons arrived. Yaros told reporters that he "forced his way in" to the apartment before finding Lisa's body. 

With all of this in mind, it seems likely that Lisa was killed by somebody she let into her apartment herself. Police initially had a potential suspect: a person in a hooded sweatshirt who was seen running away from the building shortly before Lisa was found. Said person was eventually identified and passed a polygraph related to the case. 

To this day, there are many unanswered questions about Lisa's death. A murder weapon has never been found. In May 2023, it was reported that police were beginning to narrow down their list of suspects. However, no arrests have been made in Lisa's case.

The Murder of Lisa Bollaert

Lisa Bollaert was found brutally murdered in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 6th, 2009. 

The 37-year-old woman was originally from New York and had only been in the Tulsa area since late April. Prior to this, Lisa was receiving mental health treatment at a facility in New York. According to reports, Lisa walked away from the facility and began hitch hiking across several states before stopping in Oklahoma. She checked into a Salvation Army shelter in Tulsa on April 27th, 2009. Two days later, Lisa checked into a women's shelter in Sand Springs.

Over the next several days, Lisa was spotted by surveillance cameras around the Tulsa and Sand Springs area. On April 30th, she was captured on camera outside of Tulsa's FBI office, accompanied by a white man in his 40s or 50s. On May 5th, Lisa was captured by convenience store footage after walking away from the Sand Springs women's shelter. The following day, Lisa's body was found in a garbage bag in a nearby front yard.

According to law enforcement, Lisa's killer(s) acted with "extreme rage." She had been severely beaten and her body was covered with lacerations. Lisa was found with her arms and legs bound by duct tape. Her body had been stuffed into a garbage bag before being left in the front yard on 81st and Elmwood. 

Years have passed without an arrest in Lisa's case. Both Lisa's loved ones and investigators remained baffled by the questions: Who killed Lisa, and why?

Loved ones remember Lisa as a kind and generous person. Prior to her death, Lisa was married to a man named James Bollaert. The couple lived in New York and had a daughter together. Lisa also had a son from a previous marriage.

Lisa was also previously a member of the U.S. Army but had been recently discharged before entering the mental health facility in New York. 

Struggles with mental health.

According to Oklahoma Cold Cases, Lisa first began showing signs of mental illness in 2001. Reports state she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had been hospitalized in the past. Lisa's husband, James, reported that he was worried about his wife as she had told him that she was seeing ghosts. 

It's known that Lisa was receiving treatment for her mental health shortly before she hitch-hiked from New York to Tulsa. She left the facility with no belongings - just the clothes on her back. Lisa did not even have a wallet or cell phone on her person.

As previously noted, Lisa was captured by surveillance cameras outside of the Tulsa FBI office on April 30th, 2009. She was accompanied by a white man in his 40s or 50s.

It was later learned that Lisa went to the FBI office that day because she "wanted to see if the FBI had any information on her before she went to an Army recruiting office to re-enlist." The man seen with her in the footage reportedly gave her a ride to the office.

After Lisa was found murdered, it was reported that police wanted to locate/speak to the man in the footage. He was not labeled a suspect at that time; just someone who investigators wanted to interview. Snippets of the surveillance footage were shown on the news as an appeal was made to the public to help identify this man.

In 2014, it was reported that investigators still had not identified this person. As of 2023, it's unclear if he has been identified or located.

This is the last documented sighting of Lisa before she was found deceased. It is unknown where she was traveling in this footage. What is known is that at some point shortly after this, Lisa encountered the person(s) who ended her life. 

A body is found. 

On May 6th, 2009, police received a call from homeowners about a mysterious garbage bag in their front yard. Inside the bag was the body of a deceased woman. It took a few days, but the body was eventually identified as that of Lisa Bollaert. It was clear that she had been a victim of homicide.

The fact that Lisa had been bound with duct tape, beaten, and stabbed is just one of the many disturbing elements of this case. Although the case has been open for years, the disturbing aspects of it still haunt investigators to this day.

Where the case stands today.

Investigators have collected DNA samples from the trash bag and the tape on Lisa's body, but they have yet to get a solid lead in the case. Lisa's murder remains unsolved today.
