Tasjunique Graham (23) and her young daughter Bailey Simon (3) were shot to death in their Conway, South Carolina home on September 28th, 2020. Police were sent to their home on Suggs Street around 7:30 PM that evening after receiving calls about a shooting. When the officers arrived, they found Tasjunique dead from gunshot wounds. Bailey had also been shot and was in critical condition. She was rushed to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries two days later.
Prior to her death, Tasjunique was serving in the South Carolina National Guard as a truck driver and was also working in the nursing field. On top of that, she was raising her daughter Bailey. Loved ones of the mother-daughter duo described the pair as happy and kind. Tasjunique was known as a generous young woman and was not known to have any enemies. A motive for the killings remains unknown.
Bailey's father was incarcerated at the time of the murders, so he has been ruled out as the shooter. Other than that, very little information about the investigation has been revealed. Many different people have been involved in the investigation since the early stages. The Conway Police Department has worked alongside investigators in Horry County and Myrtle Beach. The FBI is also involved in the case. Still, no arrests have been made, nor have any suspects been publicly announced.
In February 2021, the Conway Police Chief announced that the FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of Tasjunique and Bailey's killer. During that announcement, the chief said that the case is "not a cold case but the leads are not coming in, we’re not getting the cooperation and assistance from people we are hoping would assist with."
Since then, very little other information has been released. In February 2022, Conway Police once again called upon the public for help solving the case and announced that the $10k reward is still available. Both investigators and loved ones of Tasjunique and Bailey hope that somebody will come forward to help solve the case.
If you have any information that could help the investigation, please contact the Conway police at (843) 248-1790 or submit a tip to the FBI using the online tip form.
