The Disappearance of Jerry Castillo Jr.

Jerry Castillo Jr. vanished at the age of 21 during the early-morning hours of March 21st, 2015. The previous evening, Jerry spent dinnertime with his parents before leaving their El Paso, Texas home to attend a gathering with some friends from high school. At some point past midnight, Jerry left the gathering to pick up his girlfriend. The couple reportedly got into an argument that prompted Jerry to get out of the car to go for a walk to cool down. There was a sighting of him walking down the 11600 block of Pellicano Drive shortly thereafter. Jerry never returned to his car or to his family's home. The last known contact from Jerry is a text message that he sent a friend around 3am that morning. It only stated, "Please help me." Jerry did not answer any follow up calls or texts and he has never been seen or heard from again.

Jerry's girlfriend returned his car to his parents the following day. His parents eventually reported him missing after being unable to get in touch. Police searched the area on Pellicano Drive where he was last seen, and they found Jerry's cell phone on the ground. Despite these suspicious circumstances, detectives have stated that they do not believe Jerry's disappearance is a murder. They do, however, believe that there are individuals out there who know what happened to him. Without elaborating, one of the detectives working on the case told reporters, "we as a department feel that somebody may have seen [Jerry] do something." Jerry's parents, on the other hand, believe that their son met with foul play.

Jerry remains missing today. The El Paso Police are investigating his case. If you have any information that could lead to his whereabouts, please contact authorities at 915-832-5000.
