The Murder of Tikeisha Nicole Cottingham

Source: Wicomico Sheriff's Office

Tikeisha 'Nicole' Cottingham was only 17 years-old when she was brutally murdered on March 20th, 2003. It was around 4:00 AM that morning when police were called to a residence on Nakomis Avenue in Wicomico County, Maryland about a suspected homicide. Upon their arrival, they found Tikeisha deceased on the living room floor. She had been stabbed several times.

Over two decades have passed, and Tikeisha's murder is still unsolved. There is very little information available about the case; media reports about the murder have been minimal. Details about Tikeisha's life and the events surrounding her murder are unknown. As such, many questions remain - namely: who killed this teenage girl who still had her whole life ahead of her? And why?

As of today, those questions remain unanswered. Tikeisha's murder is considered a cold case. There is a potential monetary reward for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of Tikeisha's killer(s). If you have any information that could help the investigation, please contact the Wicomico Criminal Investigation Division at (410) 548-4898 or Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776.
