Sarah Hill has been missing since June 6th, 2018. The then-33-year-old was last known to be in the area of Mount Airy, Virginia. On the evening she vanished, Sarah called her sister and said she was on Blue Hollow Road and needed a ride. Her sister was working at a hospital in Elkin at the time and was unable to assist. Sarah's phone died shortly after that phone call, and she has never been seen or heard from again.
After Sarah was reported missing, her vehicle was found abandoned in a parking lot near the Blue Hollow Road intersection. The car reportedly did not provide any clues to her whereabouts. There are also very few details available about the events leading up to Sarah's disappearance. It's known that her address was listed in Patrick County, Virginia, but she often stayed with friends in both North Carolina and West Virginia.
According to reports, Sarah's friends in West Virginia were contacted, but they did not know of whereabouts or that she had even gone missing. It seems likely that her friends in North Carolina were investigated as well, especially since her car was found on the N.C. 89 - close to the North Carolina-Virginia border. However, no persons of interest have ever been publicly named.
In January 2019, investigators received information that led them to a day-long search at King Park Circle, located just off of Blue Hollow Road. The search involved investigators from several different agencies. Search canines are excavators were used, but no information was released about what - if anything - was found. Investigators returned to the location in July 2020 for a follow up, but no further information was released after that search either.
Since then, it appears that there have not been any updates in Sarah's case. She remains missing today. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please contact authorities in Virginia at 276-694-3161 or authorities in North Carolina at 757-294-5271.
