Cynthia Acevedo has been missing since August 15th, 2019. It is believed that the then-39-year-old was last seen walking past a cemetery in Laveen, Arizona. Cynthia has never been seen or heard from again. She was reported missing on August 31st, 2019.
Reports state that this sudden disappearance was very uncharacteristic for Cynthia. She was not known to stay out-of-touch with her family members. Investigators have labeled Cynthia's disappearance as suspicious, and they fear that she is deceased.

In April 2025, a Phoenix local commented on a Facebook post about Cynthia's disappearance, stating that Cynthia was spotted at a homeless shelter in Phoenix. It appears that this citing has never been confirmed.
