The Disappearance and Murder of April Parker

April Parker was reported missing in Monticello, New York on May 26th, 2014. Prior to her disappearance, the 31 year-old woman was living on Terry Lane in Monticello. Around two weeks after April was reported missing, skeletonized remains were found in a wooded area behind the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex--not far from April's home. It took over a month for the remains to be identified, but on July 25th, 2014, the remains were positively identified as that of April Parker. Investigators classified her death as a homicide.

An exact cause of death has never been publicly revealed.  However investigators do not believe that April's murder was a random act of violence--they believe she was killed by somebody she knew. Still, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly been identified.

April's murder remains unsolved, and very few details about the investigation are available. If you have any information that could lead to April's killer, please contact 845-791-TIPS (8477) to submit an anonymous tip.
