The Disappearance of Prisma Peralta Reyes

Prisma Peralta Reyes has been missing since April 17th, 2019. The young woman grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, but had moved to the United States a few years before her disappearance. In April 2019, Prisma lived in Mesquite, Texas with her six year-old son. She had a job at a local car dealership and she also worked as a paralegal. Additionally, Prisma served in the National Guard. Prisma's loved ones describe Prisma as a dedicated mother and a responsible woman. She is not known to disappear or stay out-of-touch. When Prisma did not show up to pick up her son from the babysitter on the evening of April 17th, her loved ones immediately knew something was wrong.

Prisma was working at the car dealership on the day she vanished. She left the dealership during her lunch break to meet up with her ex-boyfriend at a restaurant called E Bar Tex Mex in Dallas, Texas. Prisma and her ex-boyfriend reportedly got into an argument during their meal. Her ex eventually left the restaurant, but Prisma stayed and kept drinking at the bar. After three hours passed, the bartender refused to serve Prisma any more alcohol. A verbal altercation ensued, and Prisma was asked to leave.

After leaving the restaurant, Prisma was involved in a road rage incident. Witnesses reportedly saw her pointing a gun at various drivers in traffic. Police were called, but Prisma was nowhere to be found once they arrived on the scene. Shortly thereafter, surveillance cameras captured Prisma running into an apartment building's parking garage on Roseland Avenue. The ex-boyfriend whom she had met for lunch earlier that day lived in said building, but was not home at the time she had shown up.

Surveillance footage shows Prisma walking back and forth in the parking garage while talking on her cell phone. She reportedly made nine phone calls between 5:49 and 6:01 PM. Most of the phone calls were to her boyfriend, but her second to last call was made to a friend. Said friend said that Prisma was in distress during the phone call. Prisma reportedly told her friend that she was confused, upset, and needed help. Her friend was out of town at the time and was unable to assist.

Prisma was supposed to pick up her son from the babysitter at 7:30 PM but she never arrived. The babysitter reported her missing two hours later. Once the investigation began, authorities found the surveillance footage that captured Prisma's actions before her disappearance. The footage of her inside the parking garage is the last known sighting of her; police were unable to find any footage of her exiting the building. However, there are multiple exits to the building that do not have surveillance cameras.

Prisma's car was found abandoned near the apartment complex the day after she was reported missing. It was parked near an intersection in such a way that it appeared she only intended to leave her car for a short period of time. It appears that Prisma never returned to the vehicle and has never been seen or heard from again.

Years have passed, but no suspects or persons of interest have been publicly announced in Prisma's case. She still remains missing, and her family fears that she met with foul play. The Mesquite Police Department is investigating her disappearance. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please call 972-285-6336.
