Lamonica Myers was only 20 years old when she was found brutally murdered inside her Memphis, Tennessee home on March 1st, 2021. The young mother-of-two was found by her sons' babysitter. That tragic day was a Monday, and the babysitter was bringing Lamonica's sons back home after having them over the weekend. When the babysitter entered the residence at Pendleton Place Apartments, she found Lamonica deceased inside. Police were called, and Lamonica's death was quickly labeled as a homicide.
An autopsy revealed that Lamonica had been beaten to death. Lamonica's loved ones are still trying to figure out who killed her, and why she was killed. According to Lamonica's close friend Bre'anna Allen, Lamonica was seen and heard from on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021. Since she was not found until the following Monday, Lamonica's loved ones believe it is possible that she was killed before that weekend. Detectives have not confirmed this; however, they have released very little details about the investigation.
