The Disappearance of Breasia Terrell

Breasia Terrell has been missing since July 10th, 2020. The 10 year-old girl vanished while spending the night at the home of 47 year-old Henry Earl Dinkins, in Davenport, Illinois. Breasia's mother Aishia Lankford last heard from her around 9pm on July 9th, when Breasia sent a text to say goodnight. Reports state that Breasia was seen for the last time a few hours later. Aishia reported her missing on the evening of July 10th after she never returned home.

Dinkins is considered a person of interest in Breasia's disappearance. He is the father of of Breasia's half brother, and he is also a registered sex offender. Breasia reportedly tagged along with her half brother during a visit to Dinkins' home on the day before her disappearance. According to Aishia, Breasia had never spent the night at his apartment before--but was enjoying her time with her brother and wanted to stay the night. Although Aishia was aware that Dinkins is a registered sex offender, she was initially not worried about Breasia spending the night at his home because she was with her brother and she had known Dinkins her whole life. However, when Breasia never returned from Dinkins' house, suspicions against him began to build.

Police searched Dinkins' apartment shortly after Breasia was reported missing. During the search, he was arrested for violating sex offender requirements. He remains in jail for those charges today, but he has not been charged with anything related to Breasia's disappearance. Dinkins maintains that he does not know of her whereabouts.

On July 15th, 2020, an Amber alert was issued for Breasia. Authorities also announced that they were searching for anyone with information about Dinkins' whereabouts between the hours of 10pm on July 9th and 12pm on July 10th. Still, months have passed and authorities reportedly do not have any updates in the case.

The Disappearance of Suzanne Morphew

Suzanne Morphew search: Investigators find 'personal item' - CNN

Authorities in Chaffee County, Colorado are searching for Suzanne Morphew (49), who has been missing since May 10th, 2020. The mother-of-two disappeared on Mother's Day, after she left her Maysville, Colorado home to go for a bike ride. Suzanne never returned home, and a neighbor reported her missing later that evening.

Searches for Suzanne have so far ended unsuccessfully. Reports state that search crews "of more than 100 investigators, eight tracking dogs and four drones, as well as members of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, South Ark Swiftwater Rescue and Reach Air Ambulance have been unable to find her." However, investigators stated that they found a "personal item" belonging to Suzanne during their search for her on May 14th. Investigators have not disclosed what exactly they found, but Suzanne's family members have reported that they found her bicycle on May 10th--the day she vanished. While authorities have not confirmed this, it suggests that whatever they found on the 14th was a different item. A search of the areas surrounding where the item was found did not yield any additional evidence.

Suzanne's husband, Barry Morphew, put a $100,000 reward in place for anyone with information about Suzanne's whereabouts. That reward was later increased to $200,000 after a friend donated money to the case. Suzanne's family members have confirmed that Barry was in Denver on the day she vanished--which is an approximate 3-hour drive away from their home in Maysville.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is now assisting with Suzanne's case. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please contact their tip line at (719) 312-7530.
UPDATE (October 2020): New details have surfaced about Barry Morphew's alibi on the day of Suzanne's disappearance.

It was originally reported that Barry was in the Denver area on the day Suzanne vanished. It is believed that he left the family's Maysville home during the early morning hours of May 10th, and then returned later that afternoon after learning of his wife's disappearance. Barry went to the Denver area to work on a landscaping job. He was hired by the president of the landscaping company, who also happens to be his close friend. However, Barry's name is reportedly not on any documentation related to this specific job. Additionally, the job was reportedly scheduled for Monday, May 11th--not Sunday, May 10th. In fact, the city did not issue a special permit for the work to be completed on a weekend, which would have been required for this particular job.

All of this information leads to many questions. Did Barry actually go to the Denver area that day? And if so, why did he go a whole a day earlier than necessary? Why did he lie about the date of the job? Suspicions have been cast on Barry since the beginning of the investigation. Many people, including Suzanne's family members, believe that he might be responsible for Suzanne's disappearance. So far, though, he has not been charged with anything related to her case, and Suzanne remains missing today.
UPDATE (May 2021): Barry Morphew has been arrested and charged with Suzanne's murder.
The arrest comes nearly a year after Suzanne's disappearance. Authorities have yet to disclose any other details, but they have revealed that Barry is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempting to influence a public servant, and tampering with evidence.

Suzanne's body has still not been found.

The Murder of Heather and Kira Radcliffe

Heather Radcliffe (28) and her daughter Kira Radcliffe (6) were brutally murdered inside their own home during the early-morning hours of December 9th, 2006. Their murders remain unsolved to this day.

Heather was raising Kira in Gainesville, Florida. Many described Heather as friendly, hardworking, and straightforward. She worked at a tree-trimming company and was the boss to a team of employees. Heather was also described as a loving and dedicated mother. In December 2006, she was looking forward to celebrating the Christmas holiday with Kira. Unfortunately, before they could, their time got cut short.

Police and the fire department were called to Heather's home around 6:30 AM on December 9th, after a neighbor noticed that flames were erupting from the roof of the house. It was initially believed that the fire was caused by an electrical issue. Tragically, upon closer inspection, it became clear that this was not the case. After the fire was put out, authorities searched the house for any victims. Kira was found first, near the living room just inches away from a phone. It appeared that the little girl had tried to call for help. Heather was found in her bedroom. Their dog was found in the office with the door closed. Investigators also noticed that the fire had two separate starting points. The first starting point was in Heather's bedroom; the ignition point being her mattress. The second starting point was in Kira's bedroom.

An autopsy confirmed that Heather had been shot three times-once in the chest and twice in the head. It's believed that Kira was awoken by the gunfire, and that the assailant attacked Kira after she tried to use her mother's phone to call for help. It's also believed that the killer left their house and then returned shortly thereafter with gasoline to start the fires. Kira died of a combination of both strangulation and smoke inhalation.

Years have passed without any answers in their case. Investigators looked into Kira's father, but he was cleared after his alibi was established. Investigators also looked into Heather's also ex-boyfriends and her male employees, but so far no arrests have been made. However, investigators have revealed that Heather and Kira were likely killed by someone Heather knew and allowed into her house. Heather's loved ones revealed that she often put their dog in the office when she was expecting a visitor. Additionally, the front door was unlocked.  Even knowing this information, a motive for Heather's murder remains unclear.

This case is still open, and Heather and Kira's loved ones are hoping to see justice some day. If you have any information that could lead to the killer, please call (352) 372-7867 to submit an anonymous tip.
